Certificate in Advanced Coaching Approaches

An intensive program of advanced professional development for practising coaches and organisational leaders

Program Rationale

The Certificate in Advanced Coaching Approaches has been designed to meet the developmental needs of coaches who have completed an initial training and now wish to extend their capability to a more advanced level. Many practitioners reach a stage where established techniques are insufficient for the complexity of the challenges they face with clients.
This program addresses that stage directly.
Its purpose is to deepen theoretical understanding, broaden methodological range, and refine the presence of the coach as practitioner.

Program Structure

The programme is delivered as six full-day modules, convened monthly over six months. Each module follows a consistent rhythm:

The format is designed to balance intellectual stimulation, experiential practice, and reflective consolidation. On successful completion, participants will be awarded the Certificate in Advanced Coaching Approaches, representing 48 hours of advanced professional development or CPD.

Learning Environment

The program is designed as a professional learning community. Each cohort is intentionally small, with a maximum of twelve participants, to enable close engagement and meaningful dialogue.Sessions are interactive and practice-based. Each day balances conceptual input with live demonstration, structured practice in pairs or triads, and whole-group reflection. Breaks are scheduled regularly to maintain energy and focus, and participants are encouraged to attend fully to their own wellbeing during the day.The tone of the program is both rigorous and supportive. Participants can expect to be challenged in their practice, while also held within a respectful and confidential learning environment. In addition to the six teaching days, participants will meet in small peer groups between modules for two practice sessions, without faculty present, to rehearse and consolidate new approaches.A curated reading and listening list will also be provided for those wishing to deepen their engagement further.
